Evaluation of emergency external fixation for limb fractures
Technical advantages:
1. The upper and lower extremities should have fracture trauma of forearm and lower leg, so that students can understand the abnormal movement, angulation deformity, and bone fricative after the activity of the fracture. The upper and lower extremities of the fracture should be fixed with splints in time to prevent the injury of blood vessels and nerves around the fracture caused by repeated activities.
2. The application of this model training enables students to preliminarily master the methods of fracture reduction and fracture fixation.
3. The lower limb fracture can also be used for bone traction nursing training and skin traction nursing training.
Fracture fixation method:
1. Fixation of forearm fracture: splint shall be placed outside the forearm of the fracture, and the protruding part of the fracture shall be padded, and then the wrist and elbow joints shall be fixed (8-shaped wrist fixation). The forearm shall be bent and hung in front of the chest with a triangular towel, and the injured limb shall be fixed in the chest with a triangular towel.
2. Fixation of upper arm fracture: splint shall be placed outside the upper arm of the fracture, the protruding part of the fracture shall be padded, and then the elbow and shoulder joints shall be fixed. The upper arm shall be bent and hung in front of the chest with a triangular towel, and the injured limb shall be fixed on the chest of the wounded with a triangular towel.
3. Fixation method of triangular towel of forearm and upper arm without splint:
(1) Forearm fracture: hang the injured limb in front of the chest with the unfolded triangular towel, and then fix the injured limb in the chest with the triangular towel.
(2) Upper arm fracture: first fix the injured limb on the chest with a triangular towel, and then hang the injured limb in front of the chest with a triangular towel.
4. Clavicle fracture fixation:
(1) T-shaped splint fixation method: T-shaped splint is placed on the shoulder blade at the back, cotton pad is placed on the fracture, and then a triangular towel is tied on the plate around the shoulder twice, and the splint end is fixed with a triangular towel.
(2) Triangular towel without splint fixation method: lift the chest, place cotton pads under the armpits on both sides, tie two triangular scarves around the shoulders, tie the triangular scarves together, and fix the forearm flexion in front of the chest with triangular scarves.
5. Fixation of lower leg fracture: place the splint on the outside of the fractured lower leg, cushion the protruding part of the fracture, fix the upper and lower ends of the wound, fix the knee and ankle joints (fix the ankle joint in figure 8), and fix the top of the splint again.
6. Fixation of thigh fracture: place the splint on the outside of the fractured leg, cushion the protruding part of the fracture, fix the upper and lower ends of the fracture, fix the ankle and knee joints, and finally fix the waist, ilium and armpit.
7. Triangular towel fixation without splint for the big and lower legs: merge the patient's two lower limbs, move the healthy limb to the injured limb, add pads between the knee and ankle, fix the ilium, knee and ankle with the triangular towel in sections, tie the knot on the healthy side, and fix the ankle joint in the shape of "8".
